MONTPELIER — Voluntary mergers are favored by most of the members of the Vermont School District Redistricting Task Force.
Previously, the group rejected a map based on counties. On Monday, they decided against moving forward with a map based on career and technical education (CTE).
They prefer a 10-year plan where districts would be incentivized to merge to tap into state construction aid and to collaborate on developing regional high schools.
