BRATTLEBORO — A new ordinance to address vacant buildings is getting a second and potentially final hearing. 

Town staff are recommending a flat registration permit fee of $1,000 for owners of vacant buildings to pay. Each year, the fee would double until the price reaches $10,000 then it would increase annually by $5,000.
