He took wine tasting classes in order to distinguish various flavors in wine. All of which is hieroglyphics to me. But he took a measure of pride being able to taste the oak or cherry or whatever he was tasting. He took Mozart classes. He spent months re-doing a room in his house as he styled himself as a semi-master carpenter.
