The Vermont Growers Association (VGA) is highlighting several upcoming events in February for members and the public, alongside continued updates on cannabis policy discussions taking place in the State House and at the Cannabis Control Board.

The 2026 General Assembly convened Jan. 6, with several cannabis-related bills under consideration in the final year of the biennium. The Cannabis Control Board also held a board meeting lasting more than three hours, covering a range of regulatory topics. VGA has published an update summarizing both the legislative activity and the board meeting.

VGA will host its second Member Meeting of the year on Thursday, Feb. 12. The meeting will focus on the 2026 Policy Agenda, ongoing work in the State House, and member input. Invitations have been sent to members by email and are available in the Membership Area of the VGA website at vermontgrowers.org.

VGA will attend the NOFA-VT Winter Conference Feb. 14–15 at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester. The conference features a keynote conversation with Ira Wallace and more than 40 workshops focused on building a just and resilient food system, along with a seed swap, exhibitors fair, and networking opportunities. More information is available at the NOFA-VT online event page.

On Thursday, Feb. 26, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., VGA will host a virtual Community Action Workshop focused on engaging with local legislators during the 2026 General Assembly. The workshop will cover the legislative process and provide materials to support advocacy efforts. Registration is available through VGA’s website.

The 2026 Policy Agenda centers on protecting individuals, generating revenue, and improving current systems, including proposed antitrust measures and improvements to agency efficiency and consistency. Details are available at vermontgrowers.org.

The Vermont Growers Association advocates for an equitable, fair, and craft-centered cannabis marketplace driven by small businesses.
