BRATTLEBORO — A new initiative aims to respond to needs in the community and bring agencies together to strategize on the best approach.

Brattleboro was identified as having higher than average rates of violent and drug-related crime by Gov. Phil Scott's Public Safety Enhancement Team in 2023. 

"We certainly are seeing this in the police department and the fire department," Town Manager John Potter said at the special Select Board meeting last Thursday.
