BRATTLEBORO — Plans to improve the financial situation for Brattleboro Memorial Hospital are underway.
Hospital leaders outlined the projects at the Green Mountain Care Board meeting on Wednesday.
"We acknowledge it's very serious to have a $14.5 million deficit," Dr. Tony Blofson, acting interim co-CEO, told the regulators. "We are working on the changes on that line while at the same time keeping open the ER, taking care of inpatients and seeing 300-plus clinical outpatients daily."
BMH has been around for more than 120 years, Blofson said.
