WASHINGTON, D.C. — Democrats are pushing back against what they see as a disastrous plan to make cuts to Medicaid. 

Sen. Peter Welch, D-Vt. spoke with other U.S. senators about the issue at a webinar hosted by Protect Our Care on Thursday. Trump's campaign promise to not cut Medicaid provided "false solace" to voters, Welch said.
