BRATTLEBORO — The Boys & Girls Club of Brattleboro's afterschool program at Retreat Farm has advanced to Level-5 in the state-wide STARS Program.

STARS (STep Ahead Recognition System) is Vermont’s quality recognition and improvement system for child care, preschool, and afterschool programs. Participation in STARS means a program strives beyond licensing regulations to meet higher quality standards, uphold professional practices, and commit to continuous quality improvement.

Due to the diligence and determination of multiple staff members, The Club increased its STARS rating from 3 to 5 (the highest rating available), according to a news release.
