RUTLAND CITY — Using stifling defense in the first half and clinical precision from the free throw line, the No. 5 Twin Valley boys basketball team beat No. 4 Mount. St. Joseph 77-62 on the road in the quarterfinals of the Division 4 playoffs on Friday.

The Wildcats (18-4) were led by Brayden Brown, who had a team-high 27 points along with seven rebounds, seven assists and four steals.
