BRATTLEBORO — An independent nutrition program is coming to Windham Southeast Supervisory Union schools.
Last month, the WSESU Board approved a plan to transition schools to a self-operated program beginning next school year. An announcement from WSESU Food Program Coordinator Susan Grabowski called the move "groundbreaking."
"This decision marks a pivotal step toward aligning our meal program with the values of our community and better serving our students," the announcement states.
An ad-hoc committee formed in October to evaluate the current food service model.
