BRATTLEBORO — Democratic incumbents Emilie Kornheiser and Mollie Burke both won their races for the Vermont House of Representative.
Kornheiser secured 1,363 votes to 646 for Republican Susan Murray for the Windham-7 seat. Kornheiser faced a more competitive race against Amanda Ellis-Thurber in the Democratic primary in August.
Kornheiser, chairwoman of the House Ways and Means Committee who was first elected in 2018, said she feels "a tremendous responsibility" to serve.
Energy is in the air as people watch the results coming in on Election night in Brattleboro on Tuesday, Nov.
