STRATTON — New trails at Stratton Recreation Area will be celebrated and named this week.
Southern Vermont Trails Association will host a grand opening from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, with beer and food. The access point is on Old Town Road off West Jamaica Road.
Steve Petrik, executive director of SoVTA, said a bidirectional trail is being named Meeting House Trail as it functions as the "backbone getting up and around the property," meaning it carries a lot of traffic.
"Everyone is going to meet up on it," he said.
