TOWNSHEND — The seventh and eighth grade students at Leland & Gray Middle and High School are bringing their studies to life through an interdisciplinary unit on epidemics as part of the EL Education curriculum recently adopted by the West River Education School District.

In a coordinated effort to deepen learning across subject areas, English teacher Ryan Kelly, social studies teacher Keighan Eaker, and science teacher Marko Lazin collaborated to design a unit that explores epidemics through multiple academic lenses, according to a news release from the school.
