West River Valley Mutual Aid is disbanding, with steering committee members calling their work complete for now and celebrating their many accomplishments.
"The essence of the program of West River Valley Mutual Aid in its initial forming was neighbors helping neighbors," said Gloria Cristelli, steering committee member.
In response to emerging needs around food insecurity and alienation during the COVID-19 pandemic, the group advocated for and implemented a distribution site for Vermont's Everyone Eats program and organized efforts to ensure neighbors had help when needed.
