WILMINGTON — WheelPad will receive $50,000 through local 1 percent option tax revenue to support a local labor program.
"I'm at the stage of developing this business that some people call an economic development program, a small one in Wilmington, Vt., including worker housing, renovating a building that hasn't been used in quite some time, providing manufacturing jobs at liveable wages and a variety of things that we've done," Julie Lineberger, WheelPad founder and president, said at the Select Board meeting Tuesday.
