BRATTLEBORO — An Illinois man with a prior domestic battery conviction was ordered held on $15,000 bail Wednesday after Vermont authorities said he traveled to Brattleboro while on probation and assaulted the victim from his conviction even though he was barred from contacting the person.
Julius A. Jones, 36, appeared in Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on a felony charge of second‑degree aggravated domestic assault.
