In a take on March Madness, students at the Jamaica Village School took part in a competition to select the best picture book on March 29, 2024.
JAMAICA — Voters will be asked if Jamaica Village School should be closed for public education and uses by the local school district.
The vote is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8. An information session will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 30, at the Jamaica Town Office.
Earlier this month, the West River Education District Board voted to ask Jamaica to hold a vote on whether to close the building.
