ARLINGTON — Brattleboro Union High School senior Daniel Mahoney-Schmitt captured first place Sunday, March 8, at the District #5 American Legion Oratorical Contest held at American Legion Post #69 in Arlington.
Mahoney-Schmitt’s victory earned him a monetary award and advancement to the Vermont State Oratorical Contest, scheduled for March 21 in White River Junction.
