BRATTLEBORO — A team of four students from Brattleboro Area Middle School came in first place in Math Counts in the region. The contest was presented by the Vermont Society of Professional Engineers, with a competition at BAMS that included schools from the entire district. The four team members — Sylvester Mayer, Hayden Stephens, Ava Joyal and Aviv Coleman — will be moving on to the state level round, which will be held at the end of March at the University of Vermont in Burlington.
